Tubing With Chatto

Decided to take the day off yesterday and head to the river for a quiet day of reflection and ease, despite the weather. With the Ferrari in hock, had to make due in Chatto’s 4-cylinder Honda Civic. I blew up my tube in situ, for a bit of a cardio workout, and then offered to blow up Chatto’s but my little brown friend had only brought along a sun cushion! Had to drive back into town to the K-Mart, which was a good thing because I’d had a little mid-morning snack on the way and the igloo was low. Shelled out for a tube for Chatto, a set of paddles (he insisted) and a few emergency snacks for the trip. Signed an autograph, and off we went. It wasn’t until we hit the first traffic light that I noticed Chatto had left the igloo at the cash register. By the time we got out of the K-Mart (more autographs and a few back-up snack purchases) it was nearing lunchtime, so we stopped off at a deli (Thursday is a meat day) for a ‘bite.' My tube had deflated in the meanwhile, and I had to blow it back up, which was more than enough cardio for the day. Mid-afternoon picnic on riverbank was a success though. While Chatto paddled around in his tube, I had a few moments to start getting in shape for the shoot. My exercise: squatted on riverbank in ‘eagle pose’ (3 min), set or two of low-impact rotating sliding chops, collected some excellent specimens of moss rose, Lewisia pygmaea, I believe, (another low impact exercise but you really have to give it your all to get at moss rose, AND moss rose is great with balsamic vinegar and Parmisan slivers). Worked up a gentle perspiration. Had Chatto walk back and bring the Civic, and home we went. Positive spin: stretched picnic into dinner, which bypassed mid-afternoon snack AND made more room for midnight snack.

Yesterday’s Meals
Breakfast
Ricotta physique pudding (5 points)

Mid-Morning Snack
1 serving ‘I Can’t Believe This Has No Fat’ pecan macaroons (4 points)

Lunch
Deli items (I want to say Tuna Melt with reduced fat black bean tortilla chips, but Chatto insists I had a double BLT with a pass on the tomatoes and lettuce, and an economy bag of Lay’s Sour Cream and Onion potato chips. Split the difference - 8 points)

Mid-Afternoon Snack

Sugar-Free (How? . . . I don’t care how. Terrific!) Lemon Bars, mixed nibbles from Igloo (6 points)

Mid-Afternoon Picnic/Dinner
Cold cabbage rolls stuffed with pimento, minced turkey beef (what a lifesaver this turkey meat is) and seasoned rice, marinated beet cubes, wild mushroom tapenade, 1 oz. aged blue cheese hearts and travel bottle of Veuve Cliquot for dessert (10 points)

Midnight Snack

Whipped cream bath

My weight: 360 lbs.

Do you ever give the recipes? I realize some of these meals come from restaurants where you can't know exactly how they prepare the food but for instance Physique Pudding is something where maybe some readers who are preparing for some kind of competition or something might be able to benefit from the same ingredients so anyway thanks in advance if you could share the recipe for Physique Pudding and maybe I will find a couple more if I look back over the past posts. Love all your movies!
