FAST UPDATE: LOW CHI
My chi is critically low, which is discouraging on two levels. One, I’m feeling miserable and, two, I was counting on eating it.
Was too demoralized to cart out to the pebble garden this morning. Yesterday is just a haze — nightmares, cold inedible sweats and multiple visions of Chundrag Dorje (roast beef, banana cream pie, veal cutlets, etc.) On the weight front, I experienced a first in my dieting campaign. I actually gained two pounds while I was weighing myself.
More bad news. I didn’t realize when initially planning my fast that it would coincide with the Greek Orthodox meat week. In other words, though I’m not orthodox, I feel I’m missing out. Phoned Jeff Speakman at 2 in the morning but got his answering machine. Phoned Emilio Estevez at 4 and got Eric Roberts and hung up. Don’t know who else to call. Feel like I’m going to snap. Don’t know if I’ll make it and don’t know if it’s worth it. Will meditate on that, and in the meanwhile, will have Chatto bring the leftover Khorkhog back from the trash can just in case.
Chatto has just refused to bring the leftover Khokhog.
For those of you who are wondering, the longest recorded fast undertaken by a man weighing more than 450 lbs was 10 hours and 5 minutes.
